Formulation & Recipe Management
A process bill of material (also called formula) can be quite complex. There are often multiple levels in one BOM based on what types of materials and/or products go into a final product. Bills of material are used to develop new product and control the production of existing product.
Consistent Production.
The formula record (BOM) allows scalability and changes to the bill of material and are tracked and controlled. This ensures consistency in your production. Cost accountants will also use the bill of material to determine costs associated with a particular formula. Management of this BOM complexity is only available through an ERP like ProcessPro® Premier, designed specifically for the process manufacturing industry.
Unique Requirements for Process Industry.
Specific to process manufacturing, ProcessPro® Premier software will manage Percentage Formulations and Ingredient Formulations. By managing percentage formulations, it is convenient for the lab to create formulas by entering the percent of each ingredient. ProcessPro® Premier will help manage ingredient formulations, and assist your chemist when setting up the product formula. User defined calculations will automatically recalculate as the formula is being created. For example, calculations could be made for calories or VOC in the finished product. ProcessPro® Premier also allows the chemist to do “what if” calculations.
Protect your lifeblood.
Formulas are the lifeblood of an organization; formulas are what make your product different from other manufacturers, and keeping them secure, consistent, and accessible ensures ongoing quality products. ProcessPro® Premier also features formula management that allows chemists to create and enter new formulas in the system as your company grows and develops new products or changes to old products.
